Ventilation Compliance Engineer

About the role: 

We are looking for a Ventilation Compliance Engineer, based in Scotland, with occasional travel to England when required. This role will focus on delivering ventilation compliance services across a range of client sites, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and performing as intended. You will be hands-on in both inspection and remedial works, working closely with internal teams and customers to maintain high compliance standards.

Key responsibilities:

Ventilation Compliance & Testing

  • Carry out ventilation compliance inspections and reporting in line with current regulations.

  • Complete fire damper testing, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of results.

  • Undertake fan surveys and assessments to evaluate system performance.

  • Inspect, test, and work on air handling units (AHUs).

  • Support the delivery of required remedial works.

Remedials & Site Works

  • Carry out ventilation remedial works where required.

  • Support improvements to existing ventilation systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.

  • Work safely on-site, following company procedures and health & safety requirements.

  • Communicate findings clearly with clients and internal teams.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential experience

  • Proven experience in ventilation compliance and reporting.

  • Fire damper testing experience.

  • Experience carrying out ventilation remedials.

  • Knowledge of fan surveys and air handling units.

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Air conditioning awareness or practical experience.

  • Air quality monitoring experience.

  • Fire door testing experience.

  • Ventilation ductwork or canopy cleaning experience.

  • General joinery or repair skills.
