About the role:

We’re looking for a Legionella Risk Assessor to join our growing compliance team. This is a client-facing, site-based role involving the assessment of domestic and commercial water systems for Legionella risk in line with ACoP L8 and HSG274 Part 2.

The successful candidate will carry out on-site risk assessments, produce reports and schematic drawings, and liaise with clients to ensure compliance standards are met. You’ll also support quoting for remedial works and follow-up actions where needed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Conduct Legionella Risk Assessments at customer sites across Scotland and occasionally further afield.
  • Identify risk factors in hot and cold water systems, TMVs, calorifiers, tanks, dead legs, and outlet usage.
  • Produce clear, accurate technical reports and hand-drawn schematic diagrams for submission to the design team.
  • Liaise with clients and site contacts during visits and assessments.
  • Support the Compliance team in quoting remedial actions and service contracts based on findings.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of all site visits and assessments.
  • Ensure all work aligns with L8 guidance, HSG274, and company procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in domestic and commercial properties.
  • C&G Qualification
  • Working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274 Part 2, and relevant water hygiene regulations.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • Strong written communication and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency using Legionella Dossier or similar assessment platforms (preferred).
  • Able to work independently, plan routes, and manage workload efficiently
