Job Title: L8 Water Hygiene Trainee Technician
Location: Based in Dundee & Surrounding areas, with work carried out across Scotland as required.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Fire Damper & Remedial Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in fire damper testing, installation, and remedial works to work across commercial, healthcare, and critical environments, including NHS facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake temperature monitoring, flushing, descaling, cleaning and sampling as part of your training and development, in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidance
  • Complete routine tasks across assigned client sites under appropriate guidance and supervision
  • Accurately complete electronic job sheets and compliance records
  • Learn to identify and report potential non-compliances, failures or issues requiring further investigation or remedial works
  • Liaise with the office team and experienced technicians to ensure works are completed effectively
  • Follow company and site-specific health & safety procedures at all times
  • Maintain professional standards when working on customer sites and interacting with clients
  • Complete all required training and qualifications and actively develop your technical knowledge and competence
  • Take increasing responsibility for your work as your skills and experience develop

What We’re Looking For – Trainee Technician

  • No previous experience required – full training will be provided
  • A genuine willingness to learn and develop a career in water hygiene and Legionella compliance
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • Comfortable travelling to different locations and working in a variety of environments
  • A commitment to following company procedures, health & safety requirements and industry standards
  • Previous experience in water hygiene, Legionella control, compliance or a related field would be advantageous but is not essential
  • The ability and enthusiasm to complete relevant training and industry qualifications
  • A professional and reliable approach to work
