Job Title: Fire Damper Trainee Engineer
Location: Glasgow, Scotland (including travel all over the UK & Ireland)
Job Type: Full Time

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Fire Damper Testing & Remedial Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in the fire safety and compliance industry, with full training and ongoing development provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire dampers.
  • Carry out fire damper drop tests and condition assessments.
  • Complete remedial works, including repairs, adjustments, replacements, and installation of access panels.
  • Record inspection findings and complete compliance reports.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.
  • Travel to customer sites and work alongside experienced engineers.

Training & Development

Full training will be provided, including:

  • NVQ qualification training and support.
  • Training on manufacturer specifications, installation requirements, and maintenance procedures for fire dampers.
  • Fire damper inspection and testing techniques.
  • Passive fire protection and Fire Damper remedial works training.
  • Health & Safety, Working at Height, and Asbestos Awareness training.
  • IPAF and PASMA certifications where required.
  • Ongoing mentoring and career development opportunities.
