World-first Faith School Campus featured in Scottish Construction Now!
The Faith School Campus in Newton Mearns is scheduled to open for the new term beginning in August and will welcome pupils of both Catholic and Jewish faiths under the one roof. Cleartech are proud to announce our involvement in this world-first project. For this one, we worked alongside M&E contractor, Marmac Services, to provide HVAC commissioning and water treatment services throughout the facility.
After our feature in Scottish Construction Now! in March, for our work on the National HVDC Centre in Cumbernauld, Cleartech have yet again been mentioned in the online construction magazine. This time, we are featured alongside architects BDP, service engineers TUV-SUD, structural engineers Blyth & Blyth, Heron Bros, who carried out the design and build of the structure and, as mentioned, Marmac Services, for the Faith School Campus project.
The Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire project serves as a replacement for Calderwood Lodge, with the addition of a Catholic School and provision for a nursery. Although both schools will have separate entrances, classrooms and head teachers, the pupils will all share the same flexible meeting place, which revolves around an amphitheatre. This school will be the first in the world to teach both faiths in the same area and demonstrates the innovation of education that we have here in Scotland.
