Cleartech’s Approach

Cleartech Group were engaged by our long-term client Arthur McKay, part of OCS Group, to partner them on the improvement and upgrade of several Police Station boiler plant in the north of Scotland – namely Peterhead Sheriff Court, Inverurie Police Station, Burnett Rd Police Station, Bucksburn Police Station, Old Perth Rd Inverness Police Station.

Cleartech work in many buildings where specific clearance is required including, Live schools, Police Buildings, Fire Stations, Nuclear Sites, MOD Sites, Live Parliament Buildings and may more. This is only possible due to our highly motivated project support team who ensure our full team have ALL required clearance which can be a long process.

Boiler replacement projects are the type of project we are involved with at least monthly & there are some very important steps that are required early in the project as well as at the end of the project by Cleartech.

The first step, prior to any draining down or strip out works are carried out it is imperative that the system is validated by Cleartech to confirm the current water quality as well as primary flowrates being recorded. This is to allow advice to be provided in any remedial water treatment required on the entire system prior to installing new plant which could be contaminated as well as get an idea of the specific requirements of the system to allow system specific water treatment methods & proposals.

After the validation stage there is sometimes further remedial works on the entire system due to sample results or in the case with these sites continue with the install within the plantroom by Arthur McKay prior to Cleartech attending & completing local water treatment works of the new installation.

Post treating the new install to BG29/2021 samples are taken to prove water quality within the new install to be compliant then the system is opened to existing system then re-sampled to provide how that has affected the entire system.

Finally, plantroom flowrates were re-set & re-validated to be compared to design flowrates.
