Cleartech’s Approach
Cleartech have been working with Mitie to support Network Rail’s Legionella and Water Hygiene Strategy throughout 2020 & 2021.
Initially Cleartech were engaged to support the organisations covid mitigation response. This included upgrading sanitaryware and fittings throughout the estate to non-touch equipment. Items such as Wash Hand Basins, Showers, WCs and Urinals were upgraded to flush, or run automatically thus reducing the risk of contamination to staff and visitors and the spread of COVID-19.
Our involvement with the client and their customer has grown to include supporting the client with their Legionella Strategy across their Scottish Sites.
Working closely with Mitie TS and NWR site staff in the planning and carrying out of Legionella compliance tasks, Cleartech conducted Legionella Risk Assessments on a large number of properties. We worked with site managers and staff to ensure no disruption to the day to day running of the essential sites whilst ensuring sites remain fully compliant.
On the completion of the Legionella Risk Assessments, Cleartech we were heavily involved with the carrying out of remedial actions arising from each report. These included Cold Water Storage Tank Cleans, TMV Servicing, Dead Leg Removal, Expansion Vessel installation and correction, and Water Heater Replacements.
