Cleartech were engaged by Hutcheon Services Ltd and Robertson Construction to carry out the HVAC commissioning and water treatment works at the new Hampton by Hilton at Aberdeen Airport and Hampton by Hilton Westhill. Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport, with 155 bedrooms, is now welcoming guests following its construction on the D2 Business Park at Dyce. The Westhill Hotel boasts 173 rooms and hosted a successful opening at the beginning of May, following a build time of around 44 weeks. The two hotels are the quickest built Hilton branded hotels in the UK. This investment by international property developer Bricks Capital adds more than 300 rooms to an increasingly competitive hotel market in and around Aberdeen.
Project Overview
Our HVAC Commissioning & Water Treatment services include:
- Closed System Flushing
- Cleaning & chlorination of new installation hot & cold water systems
- Potable water samples taken & tested at laboratory
- Pre-sterilisation, cleaning & post-sterilisation of DWS & DHWS
- Full pre-commission chemical clean, static flushing, biocide wash, dynamic flush & dosing of corrosion inhibitor
- pre-commissioning cleaning of pipework system
- TMV testing & setting
- Water & ventilation balancing of LTHW systems
Cleartech’s Approach
For this project, we worked with our clients to devise a unique service package that would ensure work was completed on time, within budget and of a high quality standard. These works included; cleaning and chlorination of new installation hot and cold water services to BS8558 Specification and Cleartech Specification 02 and 04 and testing potable water samples at a UKAS accredited laboratory. We also carried out a full pre-commission chemical clean, static flushing, biocide wash, dynamic flushing & dosing of corrosion inhibitor fully in accordance with BSRIA BG 29/2012. Furthermore, we conducted pre-commissioning cleaning of pipework systems and as per Cleartech specification 012.
