Location: Glasgow, Scotland (including travel all over the UK & Ireland)

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Fire Damper & Remedial Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in fire damper testing, installation, and remedial works to work across commercial, healthcare, and critical environments, including NHS facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fire damper inspections, testing, and reporting.
  • Install fire dampers in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Complete remedial works identified during inspections and surveys.
  • Cut and fit access doors to facilitate inspection, testing, and maintenance.
  • Undertake repairs, replacements, and adjustments to fire dampers and associated systems.
  • Complete accurate inspection reports, remedial documentation, and certification.
  • Ensure all work complies with current fire safety legislation, industry standards, and health & safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience in fire damper testing and inspections.
  • Good working knowledge of fire damper installations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Previous experience carrying out remedial works.
  • Knowledge of BS 9999, DW145, and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
  • Experience working within NHS facilities or similar critical environments.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and site information.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ in a relevant mechanical, HVAC, or fire safety discipline (or working towards).
  • CSCS Card.
  • IPAF, PASMA, or other relevant industry certifications.
  • Experience using digital reporting systems.
